The presumed mechanism of action by which Elon Matrix Plus affects brittle nails is via the pharmacologic effects of biotin on all keratin structures. Biotin stimulates the differentiation of epidermal cells and is involved in keratinization. It is also believed that biotin increases the quantity of keratin matrix proteins in the nail thereby improving keratin structure. Recommended usages is 1/tablet/day for 2-4 months. 60 tablets/pkg.
Active ingedients in Elon Matrix Plus include biotin (3000 mcg), silicone dioxide (100 mg) and L-cysteine (50 mg). This product is lactose free and contains no wheat, gluten sugar, starch yeast, corn, preservatives or artificial colors or flavors.
