Question:
My bunion has been causing me a lot of pain. Can this product help with the pain?
Answer:
Yes, this product would be a good option for pain caused by a bunion. Bunions increase the forefoot width changing the position of the joint and force the great toe to function in a way that can cause arthritis. This product should help with relieving pressure.

Question:
I have sensative skin that is irritated by the dyes in leather. In you picture of the bunion regulator, it looks like there's three parts that would touch the skin. Do any of these have dyes or latex?
Answer:
No latex. We've not had any reports of reactions to dyes in the bunion regulator.
Question:
I am using the night splint. Will this in any way correct my toe from pressing on the next toe if I use it for some time. I was just wondering if it would strenghten the ligaments. I do not want to have surgery, however, must keep this big toe off of the next toe.
Answer:
Bunion regulators are helpful in two situations. First, bunion regulators can be used to decrease pain in the great toe joint caused by the abduction of the great toe (the motion of the great to towards the second toe commonly seen in conjunction with a bunion). They're also good for splinting the great toe following bunion surgery. But to answer your question more directly, we've not seen that the bunion regulator will actually correct the bunion without surgery. Unfortunately, a bunion is something that can only be fixed with surgery.
Question:
I have Hallux Limitus and am looking for a night splint that would help with stretching and flexibility. Is this the correct splint for me or would you reccommend a different one?
Answer:
This Bunion Regulator Night Splint will work well to relieve bunion pain while you are asleep. It promotes proper alignment and stretching, which alleviates the symptoms associated with hallux limitus, but it can't actually correct the problem. The treatment of hallux limitus is going to be more focused on splinting the toe while walking, not while sleeping. the best product for hallux limiuts would be a turf toe plate.
Question:
I have had recent bunion and hammer toe surgery. When I wear the Bunion Night Splint my leg pains. I can only wear it for about 3 hours as the pain wakes me up at night. Is this something that will go away in time as I wear it. Also, am I understanding that it will not eventually correct my toe by making it straighter the longer I wear it?
Answer:
I spoke with our medical director who said that your leg pain is an unusual symptom for both the bunion surgery and use of the night splint. He recommended that you check with your doctor just to be sure everything is OK.
