Ball of Foot Gel Pads are placed directly into the shoes to cushion the forefoot, metatarsal heads, and ball of the foot, providing pain relief to sore feet. Ball of Foot Gel Pads are an ideal in-shoe treatment for forefoot bursitis and fat pad atrophy. Ball of Foot Gel Pads are thin, silicone pads covered with a sheer, polyester top. Ball of Foot Gel Pads provide foot protection and shock absorption and reduce calluses in dress shoes, pumps, high heels, work boots, bicycle shoes, ballet shoes, sandals, and more. The hypoallergenic gel material is oil-based and safe for direct, prolonged contact. The gel is non-toxic and non-allergenic. Wash the pads with mild detergent and refresh them with talc powder. Universal right/left.

Measurements: One size, approx 2 1/2" by 3 7/8". Can be easily trimmed to fit in most shoes.

Indications - Ball Of Foot Gel Pads are used in the treatment of bursitis, callus, capsulitis, forefoot pain, Freiberg's infraction, metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma and sesamoiditis.

How do I wear this?  Does the longest part go up and down or across the ball of my foot?

Answer:

The longest part goes across the ball of your foot to maximize pain relief.  Trim off any excess for a better fit.

No problem.  This pad is completely trimmable.

How do they stay in my shoes?

The gel side is placed on to the sole of the shoe and this helps keep the pad in place.

I have capsulitis.  Can I use this pad or is there a better product?

Answer:

We have several products for capsulitis.  Most importantly however you just need something to cushion the ball of the foot to help prevent inflammation.  Dancer's pads are also a good choice.

Is there a billable code for metatarsal pads in treatment of Morton's Neuroma or is this a self-pay item?

Answer:

This is a self-pay item - as far as we know, there is no HCPCS code for this item.

Question:

Is this an adhesive backed pad? If not, how does it stay in one place?

Answer:

The side that faces down into the shoe is gel and will be tacky enough to keep the pad from slipping. The top of the pad is smooth to reduce friction. But no, no adhesive.
