The Shower-Right Cast and Bandage Protector is a simple, inexpensive, reusable solution for showering with casts or bandages. The Shower-Right Cast and Bandage Protector allows you the freedom to choose the right size plastic bag to accomodate your cast or bandage and keep it dry. Avoid struggling with stretching and sliding your bulky cast into a shower cast cover. Simply insert your cast or bandage into the plastic bag (included), remove excess air from the bag, and wrap the top of the bag for a waterproof seal. After use, easily unwrap, remove the bag, and save for future use. Not recommended for total immersion in a bath, pool, or hot tub. Latex-free. One size fits all. By Myfootshop.com. 1/pkg.

Is this meant to only be worn on leg casts?

Answer:

No, this can also be used on arm casts.

Can I use this to go swimming?

Answer:

No. Even though you see ads for doing that, we wouldn't advise that you try to use any cast cover for swimming.

 

 

Question:

I'm in a walking cast. Can I fit this over the walking cast?

Answer:

Sure will. Start the elastic wrap proximal to the cast and wrap a portion of it over the top of the walking cast.

 

 

Question:

I had foot surgery 6/2010, it is 2/2011 and I'm still going to wound care every week. Two of the incisions refuse too heal. I would like to have more info. to see exactly how this thing works, and what it's made of.

Answer:

Our Shower-Right Cast and Bandage Protector has two componenets: a large trash bag and an esmark bandage, which is a 4 inch by 9 feet elastic strap. An esmark bandage is actually an elastic tourniquette used during surgery. We kept it long with the intent of having you wrap it around your leg multiple times, over the top of the bag, to create a deep layer of protection that water cannot penetrate.
