Question:

When I trim my nails I usually smooth them with an Emory board. Would this be better?

Answer:

For easy to reach corners, your Emory board is going to work just fine. But for those tough to reach corners, the Double Ended Nail File is going to do a much better job. It's a bit thinner than an Emory board and can reach those hard to get to spots.

Question:

Can you treat an ingrown nail with this? My nail is all red and puffy and sore.

Answer:

In the very early stages of an ingrown nail, yes, you can use this to round the corner of the nail. But as the nail becomes more ingrown, you'll need to seek the help of a doctor to numb the toe to get the corner out.
