FELTastic® Callus Protectors

FELTastic® Callus Protectors are 1/8" thick, adhesive-backed, u-shaped cushions made of soft felt that ease pressure and pain in the ball of the foot. FELTastic® Callus Protectors prevent ball-of-foot calluses from worsening and relieve pain in the metatarsals caused by dropped metatarsal heads. Great for use on pump bumps (Haglund's deformity), tailor's bunions, and other areas of the feet including the heel. These adhesive-backed pads are also effective when placed directly in shoes. Indications - FELTastic® Callus Protectors are used in the care and treatment of forefoot calluses, capsulitis, Haglund's deformity, saddle bone defomities, tailor's bunions and painful warts.

Use scissors to easily trim and modify the protectors for foot conditions including Haglund's deformity, saddle bone deformities and other lumps and bumps so common to the foot. Question:

I am a dancer and have recently developed capsulitis. This becomes painful while dancing and I get swelling in the ball of by foot. How will this product help?

Answer:

The Forefoot Callus Protector cushions and relieves pressure on the bottom of the foot.

Question:

Can you show how this product would be used to help a tailor's bunion?

Answer:

The Forefoot Callus Protector can be used to buffer around the tailor's bunion by placing the opening of the pad around the bump. One of the images for the Forefoot Callus Protector shows a tailor's bunion cut-out.  The pads are also easily modified with scissors.

Question:

Are these a single use pad or can I use them over again?

Answer:

Forefoot Callus Protectors are a single time use but can be kept on for several days at a time. Keeping the pad dry will enable you to wear it indefinitely, although we advise wearing it for no more that 3 days at a time. The skin needs to breath.

Question:

Do these come in a thicker version? I have a transfer lesion on the ball of my foot and if these were a little bit thicker they would be perfect.

Answer:

We don't carry these in any thickness other than 1/8", but I do have 2 suggestions. First, you can use 2 at a time, sticking one on top of the other for a 1/4" thickness. Also, you can try buying our Felt Metatarsal Pads, which are 1/4" thick, and cutting them to shape.
