Question:
Would this brace be good for foot drop?
Answer:
Probably not. Foot drop should be evaluated and special braces recommended by your orthopedist or podiatrist.

Question:
Does this brace contain latex?
Answer:
The AirHeel does not contain latex. It is made of neoprene, which is a synthetic rubber product. Because neoprene is made with chemicals, some people are sensitive to it.
Question: I wear orthotics and I'd like to try an Airheel to help with Achilles tendonitis, and/or possibly bursitis. Will the Airheel affect the fit of my shoe with my orthotics? Thanks.
Answer:
The Airheel should fit in your shoe with your orthitics, as the material is not that thick. It would be best to wear the AirHeel with a shoe that has a full-height upper and laces to hold everthing in place.
Question: Does the AirHeel help elevate pain in the bursitis in the ankle?
Answer:
It does. Bursitis is most commonly found at the back of the heel, deep to the Achilles tendon. As you stand on the AirHeel, the pressure applied to the bottom of the heel forces air to the back of the AirHeel. And with each step, this repeats itself resulting in repetitive compression of the back of the heel.
Question: Is there a way to repair holes that might occur? I've read a few reviews on other sites where holes developing after a few days of use are an issue. Thank you
Answer:
We have never had a complaint about the material wearing out or holes appearing after normal use. I checked with the manufacturer, and they said that they do not know of this being a chronic issue. The manufacturer does provide a 6 month warranty on the Airheel, so that should cover any wear issues.
Question: I was wondering if these can be worn at night as support, or is it just recommended for daytime use?
Answer:
You could, but the AirHeel by AirCast is designed to work while you are up and walking, not while resting. The AirHeel's two interconnected aircells located under the foot arch and in back of the achilles tendon pulsate when you take a step. The first air chamber (under the arch) collapses, which reduces the stress to the plantar fascia under the arch; air is then forced into the chamber surrounding the achilles tendon which then inflates. The inflated Achilles chamber applies compression to the achilles tendon to shorten the lever arm thus reducing strain on the tendon.
Question: Can you wear the air heel and the heel lifts? Or should it just be one or the other?
Answer:
The Airheel can easily be worn at the same time as wearing heel lifts, and would combine 2 kinds of therapy to improve your symptoms. A heel lift weakens the pull of the Achilles tendon while the Airheel delivers pulsating massage. The combination could speed your recovery!
