Question:
Is the evenup shoe equalizer flexible or stiff?
Answer:
It is flexible and bendable, though made of thick rubber.
Question:
Can this product be worn with other shoes or only tennis shoes?
Answer:
The Evenup Shoe Leveler can be worn with any shoe. It is designed for full profile shoes like a tennis shoe, but can be worn with any shoe that is closed. It does not work with open shoes like sandals.
Question:
You have not inidcated how thick the sole is that is attached to the shoe. Yes, you gave length info but not how much additional height it gives.
Answer:
The height of the Evenup is adjustable and has 2 thicknesses to choose from: 1.3cm or 2.1cm thick.
Question:
Does one use evenup when using crutches in combination with a fracture shoe, or only without crutches?
Answer:
You can use an Evenup Shoe Leveler with a fracture shoe so that both sides are even - I don't think it matters whether you are using crutches or not. If you are completely non-weight bearing on one side (which is the reason for the crutches), then the Evenup wouldn't be necessary. But if you are partial weight bearing, then the Evenup would help keep you level.
Question:
I have one leg shorter than the other as a result of knee replacement surgery... you dont mention this problem for an Evenup Shoe Leveler but only when wearing a foot cast. I assume as long as one leg is shorter that it doesnt matter what the reason is!
Answer:
Sure-the Evenup would work well for a leg length discrepency like you describe. We also have our new Medi-Heel Lift or Adjust-a Lift for leg length issues.
Question:
I wear size 11 shoes and 11 and a half sneakers. Would I order a large evenup shoe leveler? Was put in a walking boot today after breaking my right ankle.
Answer:
A Men's size 11 is built to fit a foot that is approximately 11" long; which means that the sole of your shoe would be between 12.5" and 14" long, depending on the sole. In choosing an Evenup shoe size, it is more important to measure the length of the sole of the shoe you will be putting it on. It seems that a Large would be your best choice.
Question:
I didn't see a check off box when ordering the shoe leveler indicating right or left shoe. I assume that the leveler can be used for either the right or left shoe. Is this a correct assumption?
Answer:
Yes- the EvenUp Shoe Leveler can be worn on either the Left or Right shoe.
Question:
I'm finding that this ortho boot is also causing problems with a weight difference between the feet. The boot weighs 3 pounds. Is there a way to add weight to the leveler?
Answer:
I don't think it's possible to add more weight to the Evenup just to make it the same as the boot you are wearing. It should be effective even if it is lighter than the boot you wear on your other foot. You may be able to simply wear the Evenup on a heavier shoe.
Question:
I have a size 17 shoe, and need to use a walking boot for 2 to 3 weeks. Is there any solution for an even up or shoe balancer for an extra-large foot.
Answer:
The size Large EvenUp is supposed to fit a sole that measures up to 14.5" long. If your size 17 shoe is much bigger than that, then the large won't work; if it is close, you may want to give it a try to see if it can stretch around the sole of your shoe. The EvenUp does not come in an extra large.
