Understanding the anatomy of the foot and ankle
Many of our customers who follow this blog and subscribe to our newsletter are in the medical profession. We hear from home health nurses, wound care professionals, students, and physicians. One of our best resources for these health care professionals is our foot and ankle anatomy page. This page includes:
-
topical foot and ankle anatomy
-
radiographic foot and ankle anatomy
-
spacial orientation
-
neuroanatomy of the lower extremity
-
angiology
-
osteology
-

I'm particularly proud of our myology section. In our myology section (muscle) we've developed an entire catalog of the muscles of the lower extremity. Each muscle is carefully detailed showing the origin, insertion, vascular source and nerve innervation.
All of the images in our anatomy section are open source. We want you to use them for educational purposes. If you do intend to use any of our images for commercial use, please refer to our Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License.
