Question:
I have been diagnosed with hammer toes. On one foot they can still bend, but on the other, they no longer can. Will this item be helpful?
Answer:
The Single Toe Straightener will be a good match for the toe that you can still bend. For the toes that cannot, I would recommend one of our Hammer Toe Crest Pads.

Question:
Do the toe straighteners (#706 & #707) offer metatarsal padding and support? I use them regularly, but now my doctor is suggesting metatarsal pads for another condition and I didn’t want to buy additional items if not necessary. And I'm not sure how to incorporate the two things needed; the met padding with the straighteners.
Answer:
There’s a bit of padding with the toe straighteners but nothing near what you’d get with a metatarsal pad. As an alternative, you might want to try a Gel metatarsal Cushion. Depending on what you are trying to do with the Toe Straighteners, you could use some Co-Flex Toe Bandage or 3pp Toe Loops to straighten your toes in combination with a metatarsal pad.

Question:
I want one to fit the last 2 smallest toes on each foot. Can you help?
Answer:
It is always tricky to get these toe splints to work on the smallest toes, since the pad underneath may stick out the side of your foot. The Toe Straightener - Double Toe, 3pp Toe Loops, or Co-flex may work better for you.
Question:
I am scheduled for surgery on my clawtoes next month.I would like to avoid this and am considering cancelling the surgery. Can wearing these toe straighteners help to correct the problem? Also, how long do they last?
Answer:
This product is not designed to cure your clawtoes, but is supposed to be used to help straighten your toe while in your shoe. If your toe is flexible, the Toe Straightener can help keep it in normal position while wearing shoes. If your toe is rigid, and cannot be pushed into a straight position, then this product would have little affect.
Question:
I cut this pad to fit my big toe and cover my foot pad only. It is a "shim" to prevent my Hammer toe from striking the ground first. It works great. Hence, there is a left and right foot that I need when I cut the pad(s). When I order 4 pads, can you select the pads so that I end up with 2 rights and 2 lefts, after I cut them? The uncut edge is then on the outside edge of the foot.
Answer:
The Single Toe Straightener is made only one way, so if you bought 4 of them, they would all be the same. We can't choose 2 rights and 2 lefts because they are identical.
Question:
I need something to hold my pinkie toe flat, what do you recommend?
Answer:
It is difficult to hold your 5th toe in place with anything, as most products are designed for the larger toes. You can try splinting it to the 4th toe with any of our toe spling products.
Question:
How does the single toe straightener work and how is it put on?
Answer:
The Toe Straightener is easy to use - you simply place the elastic band over the toe joint that needs to be straightened out and pull on the end of the band underneath the pad until it is comfortably snug. One end of the elastic band is sewn in place and the other is adjusted with tightening and loosening.
Question:
My toes are leaning to the right on my right foot and my left foot toes are leaning to the left because I have a bunion I brought these toe straightener pads a couple of weeks ago and I want to know if they are any good for correcting my toes and making them straight again and when I tighten them all the way my toes start bruising I know Its dangerous to have them to tight but I want them to work how long before I start seeing a difference.?
Answer:
These Toe Straighteners are not intended to actually correct any bone deformities, but are designed merely to keep your toes aligned while wearing them (if your toes are flexible enough to be moved).
Question:
I broke the 4th and 5th metatarsals on my left foot and after two surgeries my 4th toe on that foot is crooked. Can this toe straightener help with this issue or is there any other product that you can recommend?
Answer:
The Single Toe Straightener could help straighten your crooked 4tht toe, but it might be more effective if you use a splint-like product to hold your toe in place. Take a look at our 3pp Toe Loop and the Double Toe Straightener for splinting options.
Question:
Approximately how long does it take to work?
Answer:
I'm not sure what you mean by "work" - what are you trying to accomplish with this product? If your hammer toe is flexible, then the Toe Straightener should flatten it out right away. If your toe is rigid and doesn't straighten out on its own, then the Toe Straightener won't help push it into place, but may at least cushion the top of your toe if it is sore.
