Answer:

Unfortunately, no.  Club feet require more specialized orthotics.

My daughter wears a size 6 adult. Do you have a size in this arch support that would fir her? I saw only youth sizes listed.

Answer:

The UCBL orthotics only come in youth sizes, so I don't think your daughter would fit into them.You may want to take a look at our Half-Length Myfootshop Casual Carbon Fiber Orthotics, since they have a good arch, heel cup and are very rigid.

Is it possible to order a pediatric orthotic for only the right foot?

Answer:

Sorry, but they come as a pair only, and can't be sold separately.

WHAT IS THE BILLING HCPCS CODE FOR THIS ITEM?

Answer:

This is a prefab device and is not custom molded to the patient, therefore prefab UCBL's do not qualify for L3020 billing. Prefabs are considered a non-billable item.

I've read about this particular orthotic before on other web sites. What's so special about it and why would it be a better choice for my son?

Answer:

The acronym stands for University of California, Berkeley Lab. They made the original design for this very commonly used insert. The two things that are unique about the UCBL is the rigidity and deep heel cup. Both of these characteristics are used to control pediatric flat foot.
