Question:
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how many kit's of your Curve Correct Ingrown Nail Treatment do I need per year?
Answer:
Thank you for your interest in our CurveCorrect Ingrown Nail Treatment. It is hard to say how many kits you would need for a full year, as it depends on how long the adhesive lasts for each application. However, each kit comes with 10 strips, which should last close to a year or more. The adhesive typically lasts many weeks if the brace is applied to a smooth, clean nail.
If you are thinking about ordering enough kits for a year’s use, I would think 1-3 kits would be enough. If you order 3 or more, you get a 5% discount and if your order is $75 or more, you get free Priority mail shipping.

Question:
Please advise: during the weeks required for the ingrown (and dystrophic) nail to grow out, can one concurrently apply antifungal liquid? cream? ointment? (the "butter" you sell?) and, as needed for cuticle inflammation, antibiotic cream? ointment?
Answer:
Thanks for your question about whether you can apply an antifungal while using the CurveCorrect brace. The answer is absolutely! The nail brace is placed at the base of the nail and as the nail grows out you can use a topical antifungal. Natural Nail Butter is a better choice for dystrophic mycotic nails. The urea in Antifungal Nail Butter is designed to chemically degrade the keratin in the nail while simultaneously treating the fungus. I’d hesitate using the Nail Butter in that the urea may act to break down the adherence of the glue used to adhere the nail brace to the nail. So for paronychia, combine the CurveCorrect with Tineacide. And use Antifungal Nail Butter for just onychomycosis.
Question:
How many braces are in a kit?
Answer:
There are 10 braces in each package.
Question:
What if my nail is really infected? Can I still use this and will the infection go away?
Answer:
With a mild infection, yes. You can. But with a longer standing or more severe ingrown nail, you ought to go see your doctor for either antibiotics or a permanent partial excision of the portion of the nail that's causing the infection.
Question:
My 4th toe (the one next to the little toe) is always sore. It seems like it digs into the skin all of the time. Can I use this to treat my 4th toe?
Answer:
No. The surface area on the lessor toes really isn't large enough to effectively use the brace. In the majority of cases, ingrown nails of the 4th toe are going to be on the outside border (lateral border) and are going to be due to rolling of the toe. If you stand and the toenail isn't facing straight up, but rather it faces the little toe, that rolling of the digit is what's likely causing the ingrown nail in the first place. You'd be best to use something like a crest pad to lift the toe up off the floor to get it to heal.
Question:
I used this last year and it really seemed to help. But now it seems like my nail is digging in in the corners again. Should I do it again?
Answer:
Yes. The nail will have a certain degree of memory and will try, in some cases, to go back to its original shape. It's not common but we have had other customers who have had the same question.
Question:
My toe is about between with the infection stage I mean it has some infection to show but not alot. Will this product still work on it?
Answer:
It should work on your nail if it is smooth enough to get the band to adhere to it. You can use the file that comes with the kit to smooth the nail surface down, so that the brace can be applied correctly.
Question:
My second toe (the one next to the big toe) has recently started to grow ingrown. Will the carbon strip fit that toenail?
Answer:
The carbon strip is trimmable with scissors, so it can be applied to any nail. But the smaller the nail, the less effective the brace will be.
Question:
I'd like to try this for my 8-yr old. Would that be ok?
Answer:
There are no age restrictions for the CurveCorrect Ingrown Nail Treatment, so it should be okay to use this on your 8 year old. For Nailease to be effective, the nail has to be clean, smooth and securely attached to the nail bed.
Question:
Will this cure a ingrown toenail?
Answer:
The CurveCorrect brace is designed to relieve pressure that causes the pain and discomfort of inflamed tissue around the toenail. As the nail grows, the brace applies continuous lifting pressure on the edges of the nail to eliminate ingrown nails. Cure it? Can't say for sure. It may grow back in time.
Question:
Am I able to paint polish over the brace? I get regular pedicures but need relief for ingrown on big toe.
Answer:
Yes- you certainly can put polish over it, as it should stay on for some time.
Question:
Hi i play many sports and i have an ingrown toenail i mostly play soccer and i am asking if i can still kick the soocer ball and run also will it affect my foot.
Answer:
The CurveCorrect band that glues to your toe nail is designed to stay on through all kinds of activities. It should not affect your ability to kick or run, as the band is very thin.
Question:
Will this work for a pincer nail?
Answer:
CurveCorrect Ingrown Nail Treatment would be a good product to ease the discomfort associated with pincer nails.
Question:
I have an infected ingrown toenail ~ if I buy the brace and it doesn't get my toe nail out can I get my money back ?
Answer:
Actually, the manufacturer states that the only nails that CurveCorrect should not be applied to are those that: 1. are grossly infected to a point where the bonding surface is compromised, and 2. are not securely attached to the nail bed. 3. Are too small for the brace to adhere to. Otherwise, the manufacturer does have a satisfaction guaranteepolicy you can call them about.
Question:
I have dance classes every day and I do Pointe and I'm wondering if the product will stay on while I do Pointe and for all my other dance classes?
Answer:
We have many athletes that use CurveCorrect with very good results. Getting a good bond is the key to long term relief from an ingrown or pressure sensitive nail. Once bonded to your nail, the CurveCorrect brace should stay bonded for 3 to 6 weeks before the adhesive bond starts to break down and the bond fails. I suspect that doing Pointe puts pressure against the nail but does not cause the nail itself to "flex" much more than other strenuous athletic activities. As such I would expect CurveCorrect to hold up well and stay bonded to your nail. It is not uncommon for the brace to stay bonded for several more weeks when it is not in such a demanding environment.
