Question:
I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for quite some time. How is a heel lift going to help?
Answer:
The heel lift will raise the heel and weaken the mechanical forces applied to the foot by the calf easing plantar fasciitis pain and allowing the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon to heal.

Question:
I have Baxter's Nerve Entrapment. Which of your products will help relieve my pain? I really don't want to have surgery.
Answer:
Baxter's Nerve Entrapment refers to an entrapment of the calcaneal branch of the posterior tibial nerve (Baxter's nerve). Baxter's entrapment results in plantar heel pain. Pronation (foot rolling inward) or flattening of the arch may also contribute to increased pressure. Some of the best products to help with this pain would be products that raise the heel and take the pressure off the nerve. Products that keep you from pronating the foot would also help.
Heel Lifts for Plantar Fasciitis Foam helps lift the heels relieving the pressure on them. Raising the heel weakens the mechanical forces applied to the foot by the calf, easing pain.

Question:
What is Sever's Disease and how do heel lifts help?
Answer:
Sever's Disease first appears in children ages 7-8 years before the growth plate in the heel is fully developed. It is usually caused by excessive tesion on the Achilles tendon and plantar fascia, or stress on the growth plate. A heel lift helps take the tension off of the Achilles tendon and plantar fascia. Heel lifts need to be firm so the body does not compress the lift causing more tension on the tendon and plantar fascia.

Question:
What is the firmness of this lift compared to felt or to the Medi-Heel Lift?
Answer:
Of the three that you mention, the foam is going to be the softest. Even softer would be our PPT heel lift. Felt is going to have some give and sometimes be a bit more comfortable than cork lifts. The Medi Heel Lift is going to be the firmest of the group. And lastly is the Adjust-a-Lift. The Adjust-a-Lift is semi-soft.
Question:
Can you clean the foam pads?
Answer:
Absolutely. They clean up very well with soap and water. Allow to air dry.
