Question:
Will these work like a metatarsal pad?
Answer:
Yes, they are a leather insole with an arch support and removable metatarsal pad all in one!

Question:
Would this be a good choice for use in sandals?
Answer:
Absolutely. They are a great fit for slip on sandals and if they do feel like they are moving around, use some double sided tape to keep them in place. Not so great in a flip flop however.

Question:
I hae metatarsalgia, will this product help me?
Answer:
Yes! Metatarsalgia is a generic term used to describe non-specific forefoot pain in the region of the metatarsal bones. This pad will off-load the forefoot by taking the load off the ball of the foot. The metatarsal pad will help to redistribute load bearing.
Question:
I was born wirh a club foot on my left foot. I'm looking for an insert that I will be able to wear heels with. i have supination on that foot. i would like to know which arch support would be best for me. Also my left foot is a 1/2 size smaller than my right.
Answer:
Part of the answer lies in how much residual deformity you have with the club foot. I too was born with a club foot and find a slight arch support like the Pedag Holiday to be helpful in dress shoes. I don't wear heels (I'm a guy) but any insert in heels is going to be a challenge. But again, you don't find many inserts thinner and as supportive as the Pedag Viva Mini Arch Support. Even if it doesn't work out in your heels, I still think you'd like it in flats. Another consideration...too much arch support can roll a clubfoot too far out (too supinated) and cause lateral arch pain. So exercise moderation in the amount of arch support you use.
Question:
I have bursitis on the ball of my foot and have a lot of pain when walking. Will the Pedag Viva Mini Arch Support help?
Answer:
The Pedag Viva Mini Arch Support is a perfect choice for symptoms associated with ball of foot pain. The advantage of this product is that the metatarsal pad is built in to the arch support so there is no guessing on where it should go.
Question:
My son wears a boys shoe size 5 1/2. You don't carry boy's arch supports. What size in women's should I order for him? I was thinking a 7.
Answer:
Yes, you would be right. Generally speaking, if a boy wears a size 5, that would be the equivalent of a women's 7. If a child wears a boy's size 7, that would convert to a women's size 9. You convert boy's and girl's shoe sizes to women's sizes by simply adding +2 to their size.
Question:
I have had multiple neuroma's removed on both feet. I have purchased the Pedag Comfort. What is the difference between the Comfort and the VIVA MINI arch support? My feet are ALWAYS so uncomfortable---need any suggestion.
Answer:
The difference the Pedag Viva Mini offers over the Pedag Comfort is that it provides overall support, whereas the Pedag Comfort only has a metatarsal pad with no arch support at all. The Viva Mini has a nice built-in arch and a soft cushioned heel cup, while also offering the metatarsal pad.
Question:
I wear a 7.5 womens size. Would I buy a 37 or 38?
Answer:
We recommend that if you wear a half-size that you should go up to the larger size, since these are 3/4 length inserts. So, you should probably get the 38.
Question:
Hi, I wear a size 8 shoe or 39 in Euro. I have never seen 39 as equivalent to size 9. What size do you recommend? Also, would these work in a sandal with a strap around the heel?
Answer:
I agree that most conversions show a US 8 comparable to a Euro 39, but Pedag sizes their products a bit differently. We do recommend that you order a size up, if you are unsure of what size to order, so a 39 should work. They should be fine in sandals, but if your sandals do not have sides to them, you will need to use the adhesive underneath the heel, as well as applying some two-sided tape under the forefoot to keep them in place.
Question:
I don't know which Pedag product to order. I have Capsulitis and the balls of my feet are very painful all the time. I have been wearing Hapads, but never know if I'm placing them in the right spot. I need these for tennis shoes, dress shoes and flip flops.
Answer:
Both the Pedag Viva Mini and the Pedag Comfort would work well in most of your shoes: the Viva Mini has a built-in arch and is slim enough to fit into dress shoes, while the Comfort has only a pronounced metetarsal pad that can fit in just about any shoe at all. Also, the Pedag Pro-active XCO and the Pedag Viva Full Length are great for tennis shoes and full-sided shoes, as they have nice full insoles with a cushiony foam uppers. For sandals, you should consider using a simple metatarsal pad rather than an insole, since the insoles won't stay put in a sandal very well. I would suggest our Felt Metatarsal Pads for something to adhere to your shoe, or our Reusable Gel Ball of Foot Cushions for a pad that sticks right to your foot. With all of these options, your trip overseas should be comfortable!
