Moleskin Pads

Our Moleskin Pads are made of pre-cut, adhesive-backed, thin cotton flannel padding. Moleskin Pad sheets are used "as is" or easily modified with scissors to cushion and protect areas of the feet from friction. Use your imagination and a pair of scissors to shape and cut custom pieces for the forefoot, toes, or heel. Moleskin is a must for your travel kit for preventing or treating a blister while on the road or the trail. Great for hiking, running, and a variety of other activities. Adhesive-backed. Measurements: 3" by 2 1/2" at the widest point, by 1/16th" thick.

Indications - Moleskin Pads are used in the treatment of blisters, corns, calluses, forefoot pain, hammer toes, claw toes, mallet toes, tailor's bunions, bunions, and forefoot capsulitis. Moleskin may also be used to protect the heel in cases of Haglund's deformity, or to relieve heel blisters.

Question:  

Can I stick two of these pads together to get more cushioning?

Answer:

Yes you can, but if you want more thickness you might want to take a look at some of our forefoot pads or ball of foot pads.  They are thicker than the moleskin and give you more cushion.

Question:

When I wear flip flops in the summer, the balls of my feet get really sore. Can I wear these with flip flops?

Answer:

Yes you can! This would be a great option to use to get used to wearing your flip flops in the summer.

Question:

Can I shower with moleskin on my foot?

Answer:

You can shower with the moleskin on but the adhesive doesn't perform well in wet conditions.  The pads will come loose much faster with a shower.

Question:

Does moleskin pads work for corns that are located on the toes?

Answer:

Sure - you can cut them to any size you need.  You're only limited by your imagination.

Question:

As I use them by cutting a hole so my metatarsal bone can be in the hole, I need to know how thick your pad is? I use it to raise the rest of my foot.

Answer:

Moleskin pads are only 1/16" thick. If you need something thicker that you can place around your metatarsal bone or can cut a hole in, try the Reusable U-shaped Gel Pads, Forefoot Callus Protectors or the Reusable Gel Oval Callus Cushions.
