Measurements - Gel Toe Caps are approximately 1 3/4" long. The approximate circumference is 2".

Indications - Gel Toe Caps are indicated in cases of recurrent injuries to toenails, runner's nail, subungual exostosis, recurrent ingrown nails, and painful onychomycosis.

Question:

I need to put ointment on my toes.  Could I use these to hold the ointment on?

Answer:

Definitely!  These are great toe coverings and the gel caps would protect your socks and shoes from getting ointment stains on them.

What else could I use the toe caps for?

Answer:

Great question!  Sometimes we have to think outside the box.  These could be used for covering fingertip injuries also or to keep fingertips from being injured.  For small hands this gel cap will fit the thumb and first finger pretty well.  The smaller fingers if they are bandaged will fit in the gel cap too.

Question:

Will these pads last very long?

Answer:

I asked around the office and we can't think of one being returned due to the fact that it either wore out or was damaged with use. I think i can safely say that they'll last you a minimum 12 months.

Question:

I have a sore that keeps happening on the top of my toe by my nail. Would this be a good pad to use for that?

Answer:

Yes, it sure would. A couple of other pads that you might want to look into also would be the gel toe protector and tube foam.

Question:

My son plays football and gets what they call "turf toe"-would this work well for that?

Answer:

The Gel Toe Cap is really only meant to protect a tender or sore toe tip from continued irritation from shoe pressure. Be sure to read our article on turf toe.  Turf toe is a jamming or impact injury to the big toe joint.  There are suggested products associated with the article to make the right product choice a bit easier.

Question:

I am a cardiac patient taking several medications, will there be any serious interaction or side effects using this product.

Answer:

No. None at all. This is a very soft gel and could even be used in cases of severe PAD (peripheral arterial disease). The gel is non-toxic and has a very low incidence of skin irritations.
