Question:
I have been diagnosed with hammer toes. On one foot the toes still bend, but on the other, they no longer do. Would this product be helpful?
Answer:
This would be a good product for your toes. The Double-Stall Tubular Foam Bandages will protect both the top and the bottom of your toes.

Question:
What is the material these are made from?
Answer:
The Digit Wraps are made out of brushed cotton flannel and Velcro.
Question:
I work in a wet environment in rubber boots. Is this material OK in water? Will it hold up?
Answer:
No, I'd guide you into something made with less cotton and a bit more rubber. As an alternative, you might want to consider using a Toe Protector.
Question:
The third toe of my right foot is a hammer (claw?) toe. When my foot is flat on the ground, the end of the toe is at the KNUCKLE before the toenail part bends downwards 90o. I'm trying to straighten out this toe. Is the 3pp toe loop strong enough to hold the claw toe straight?
Answer:
It all depends on whether your claw or hammertoe is flexible or rigid. The 3pp Toe Loops should be able to keep flexible hammertoes straightened out while being splinted to the toe next to them. But if your claw toe is rigid, these products won't work. If the tip of the toe is sore, you might want to take a look at Hammertoe Crest Pad - Foam, Hammer Toe Crest Pad - gel or the adjustable hammer toe crest pad. Our article on hammer toes may be helpful.
Question:
I broke my baby toe. This toe and the other one, that I'm currently buddy taping, are hammer toes. Will this stay in place for me?
Answer:
One of the uses for the Double Stall Foam Bandage is to buddy splint flexible hammertoes so that they stay in a straight position while wearing the wrap. So, if your hammertoes are flexible, this should work very well for your broken baby toe as well.
Question:
My 6 year old has hammer toes will these be too large for her?
Answer:
I would think this would be too big for such a small person. You would probably have better luck with something you could cut, like our Co-flex.
Question:
I have broken the toe next to my big toe. The skin is broken and requires a little medication. Will this wrap work for this?
Answer:
The Double Stall Tubular Foam Bandage will certainly be a good buddy splint to brace your 2nd toe to an adjacent one. However, I'm not sure how well it will hold up to medications- the medication may cause the bandage to soil or break down.
Question:
I broke the toe next to the big toe. It looks like it is going in a sideways direction. Can I use the Double Stall Bandage to fix it to either the big to or the third toe?
Answer:
Either toe would work well.
Question:
I broke my third and forth toes and am not having any luck with tape as it appears to be pulling my third toe sideways. Would this product work for two broken toes? Would I need to use two wraps? Can you recommend a better product for two broken toes. This injury happened about a month ago and it is still painful and swollen.
Answer:
The Double Stall Tubular Foam Bandage would certaily work for what you describe. You should also take a look at our 3pp™ Toe Loops, as they are a bit more adjustable.
Question:
A diabetic frequently gets sores on the feet and toes. It is so difficult to wrap the toe area in order to prevent infection. I am wondering if these wraps could be used for that purpose. Are they one time use or can they be washed and used again?
Answer:
Our Tubular Foam Toe Bandages are all quite soft, so they should be helpful in keeping your toes protected. They do have one light seam, so be careful with it's placement. They can be hand washed in warm, soapy water, so that they can be used multiple times. Please let them air-dry.
